Arthur Jacobs [ Germany ]

born in 1958 in Düren, studied psychology in Würzburg and at the Sorbonne in Paris. Since 2003 he has been Professor of Experimental and Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses mainly on the neurobiological foundations of language. In the book »Gehirn und Gedicht« (2011; tr: Poetry and the Brain) Jacobs, together with the poet Raoul Schrott, examines the effects of poetry from a neurological perspective.
