Roberto Bolaño was born inChilein 1953 and died inBarcelonain 2003. His fame was established with the novel »Nazi Literature in theAmericas«, and later works like »The Savage Detectives« and »2666« are considered milestones of contemporary literature. Carlos Labbé, named one of the best young Spanish-speaking authors by the renowned literary magazine »Granta«, has been involved with Bolaño since studying for his degree.
