Yasmine El Rashidi, co-editor of the New York-based quarterly Middle East art magazine “Bidoun”, published “The Battle for Egypt” in 2011. Her collection of articles about the Egyptian revolution covers the period from the January protests on Tahrir Square until the elections in September 2011. The novelist, poet and essayist Abdelwahab Meddeb is renowned in Germany by virtue of his articles in the cultural journal “Lettre International” and his works published by the Das Wunderhorn publishing house.
