In her novel “Me, Who Dove into the Heart of the World”, Sabina Berman describes the life of Karen, an autistic woman whose preferred abodes are the ocean and the tuna factory founded by her grandfather. She prefers beings with gills to “ordinary people”, in spite of the fact that she has many talents: ideas, devotion, and profit. However, one day puts everything at stake, and even the last link to the world seems to have been cut, as if it was an oxygen tube.
