Antonio Ungar’s novel “Three White Coffins” is an acrid satire about the entangled power relations of South America, and a thriller and love story at the same time. The state of Miranda, where the plot is set, can be read as an homage to Luis Buñuel, who has an ambassador from a country with the same name appear in one of his films.
