The author, musician and performer presents her novel »Tauben fliegen auf« (tr: Pigeons take flight), for which she won the German Book prize in 2010: the book is a remarkable example for the enrichment of German-language literature through immigrant cultures. She tells the story of a family caught between two worlds: the half-forgotten European region of Vojvodina – her parents' lost home – and her exile in Switzerland, where the family attempts to find a new home.
