In his most recent novel, Irvine Welsh (»Trainspotting«) confronts the police officer Ray Lennox (protagonist of the earlier novel »Filth«) with another rape case. Wanted to go on holiday to Florida with his fiancée, Lennox instead gets involved in a wild party where he meets the 10-year-old daughter of a woman attending the party, who begs him to protect the girl from her tormentors.
