Biography
Wilfried N’Sondé was born in 1968 in Brazzaville, the capital of today’s Democratic Republic of the Congo. His family moved to the outskirts of Paris in 1973. Influenced by the bad living conditions in the Banlieues, he started to write poems and short stories. Until 1991, he studied Politics at the Sorbonne. After travelling for some time, he settled in Berlin. His family followed. He made an appearance as a musician first and carried out numerous projects with Turkish children. In 2007 he published his first novel »Le coeur des enfants léopards« (tr: The Heart of the Leopards’ Children). His brother Serge N’Sonde lives in Paris and works as a musician. Together they perform their own poetry in a mix of chansons and slam poetry.
