Jakob Augstein [ Germany ]

Jakob Augstein born in Hamburg in 1967, studied political sciences at Berlin Free University and the Institut d’études politiques in Paris, and works as a journalist and publisher today. He used to write for »Süddeutsche Zeitung« in Munich and Berlin, and for the »Zeit«. In early 2011 he became the columnist of »S.P.O.N. − Im Zweifel links« for the »Spiegel«, and hosts together with Nikolaus Blome of »Bild« the Phoenix TV programme »Der Tag«. He bought the weekly »der Freitag« in 2008 and has been its publisher since.
