Ulrike Draesner [ Germany ]
Ulrike Draesner, born in 1962 in Munich, has been living in Berlin since 1996. She is a poet, a writer of long and short fiction and a translator of Anglo-American poetry. Apart from appearances in national and international anthologies and magazines, she published four poetry collections (last: »berührte orte«, 2008), two volumes of stories and a book of essays. Her most recent novel »Vorliebe« came out in 2010. Her multimedia collaborations include space poems, participation in various internet projects and SMS and video experiments. Draesner received numerous awards, most recently the Solothurn Literature Prize.
