Biography
was director and board member of the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau from 1998−2008. Born 1948 in Kabul, in 1960 he moved to Germany with his family. This architect and urban curator was a professor of Urban Planning and Architectural Theory at the Hochschule Anhalt (FH) in Dessau, and with his numerous activities and publications he has become prominent in the fields of architecture and urbanism. He worked in Egypt, Gambia, Yemen and other countries as a consultant for the Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
