Judith Schalansky [ Germany ]
Biography
was born in Greifswald in 1980. She studied art history and communications design in Berlin and Potsdam, where she now works as a freelance writer and designer. In 2006, she published her typographical work »Fraktur Mon Amour« (t: Gothic print, my love), for which she received several design prizes. Last year, she published her first novel »Blau steht dir nicht« (t: Blue doesn’t suit you). In the autumn of 2009, »Atlas der abgelegenen Inseln« (t: Atlas of the remote islands) will be published. She is due to become an artist-in-residence at Villa Aurora in Los Angeles at the end of the year.
