Gonzalo Fernández Parilla has been the editor of the translators’ collection of Arabic autobiographies, »Memorias del Mediterráneo« in Mediterranean and Oriental regions, since 1995. He has worked as a translator for the UN and was director of the translation school at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Toledo. Currently he works as a professor of Arabic language and literature at Universidad Autónoma, Madrid.
