Born in the city of Yaoundé, Cameroon in 1960, Elisabeth Hack worked as a nurse and businesswoman in her home city before settling in Germany in 2000. Here she participated as a member and activist in the organisation »Flüchtlingsinitiative Brandenburg«, which is active on behalf of asylum seekers. She has been chairwoman of »Perspektive für Kinder« since 2003.
