Gernot Wolframwas born in Zittau, Saxony in 1975 and grew up in the city of Nürtingen. He studied German Literature and has written for magazines, radio and theatre. His debut novel was followed two years later by »Samuels Reise« (2004; t: Samuel's journey), a literary road movie. He recently published the monograph »Paul Mühsam«. Wolfram taught at Wroclaw University and is involved in the application of the Europastadt Görlitz-Zgorzelec for the title of »Cultural Capital of Europe 2010«. The author lives in Berlin.
