Literature on Celluloid

Literature on Celluloid presents a series of films which have been carefully selected to supplement the festival’s programme and which the participating authors have also assisted with. Once again the festival summons dialogue and ignores the boundaries which normally inhibit the arts. Adapting literature is a great challenge. Allowing cinema to maintain its freedom is also a major task when converting these materials. Only the audience can decide whether or not the result is successful. After every film showing ilb invites both the author and the audience to hold a collective discussion.
