Rupert Neudeck was born in Gdañsk in 1939. He
did his PhD in Theology in 1972. Since 1976 Neudeck has worked as
a freelance journalist, among others for the Deutschlandfunk in
Cologne. Together with Heinrich Böll he founded the Cap
Anamur/German Emergency Physicians. Since 1998 he is the official
spokesman for the orginisation, and in 2003 he became chairperson of
the Grünhelme e.V. Neudeck has received numerous awards.
