Henning Boëtius born in 1939, studied German. He was editor-in-chief of the critical edition of Brentano’s works. He wrote books of juveniles’ literature and radio plays. Boëtius published novelistic biographies, for example about Georg Christoph Lichtenberg and Rimbaud, and the bestseller »Phönix aus Asche« (2000) as well as five detective stories featurin superintendent Piet Hieronymus. The author lives in Berlin.
