Rajeev Balasubramanyam
was born in 1974 in Lancashire, Lancaster. He studied politics,
philosophy and economics at Oxford and Cambridge. His debut novel "In
Beautiful Disguises" was published in 2000. He received the Betty Task
Award in 1999 and the Clarissa Luard Award in 2004. "The Dreamer", one
of his short stories, was awarded the Ian St. James Short Story Award.
His second novel, due to appear soon, is based on this short story.
