Guest of the ilb 2004
Candace Allen was born in Boston, USA, in 1950. She studied at Harvard and New York and worked in the Hollywood film industry. After several screenplays she wrote her first novel »Valaida« (2004), which is the biography of the Afro-American jazz trumpeter Valaida Snow. The author lives in London.
