 Niklas Goldbach was born in Witten in 1973. Following his studies in visual communications at the technical college in Bielefeld he studied experimental media arts with a focus on video art at Berlin's University of the Arts. He graduated in 2004 with distinction and was accepted as »Meisterschüler« in 2005. In 2006 he majored in the MFA program »Integrated Media Arts« at Hunter College, City University of New York, thanks to a Fulbright grant. In 2007/2008 Niklas Goldbach received a grant from the programme »Le Pavillon« at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. His video works and installations have been shown in exhibitions in Europe, North and South America and Asia since 2001.
