Benjamin Kunkel was born in Eagle, Colorado. He studied literature at Harvard and Columbia University. His literary début, »Indecision« (2006), a comical coming-of-age novel about the 28-year-old Dwight Wilmerding, quickly became a cult book in the USA. Kunkel publishes regularly, including in »The New York Times« and »The New Yorker«.
