Hans Uszkoreit
studied Linguistics, Informatics and Philosophy at the Technical
University in Berlin. In 1988 he founded the faculty of General
Linguistics at the University of Saarland and established the
department of Computer Linguistics. Uszkoreit is President of the
European Association for Logic, Language and Information, Director of
the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Director of
the scientific project »Language Technology«.
