Beate Reifenscheid,
born in Gelsenkirchen in 1961, studied in Bochum and Madrid. After
receiving her doctorate she volunteered at the Saarland Museum in
Saarbrücken and was director of the Graphic Collection and Public
Relations from 1993. She is a visiting lecturer at the University of
Saarland, has been the director of the Ludwig Museum in the
Deutschherrenhaus, Koblenz since 1997 and visiting lecturer in Art
Theory at the University of Koblenz-Landau since 2000.
