Sohrab Mahdavi,
born in Teheran, where he grew up, left the city after the Iranian
Revolution of 1979 and spent the next eleven years in exile in the USA.
He is cofounder and chief editor of the bilingual internet forum
»TeheranAvenue« and one of Iran’s most prominent translators.
