Wayne Koestenbaum ist ein New Yorker Dichter und Kulturkritiker. Er studierte in Harvard, promovierte in Princeton und schreibt für Magazine wie die »London Review of Books«, das »New York Magazine« und das »Times Magazine«. Koestenbaum veröffentlichte einen Roman, eine Biografie über Andy Warhol, fünf Lyrikbände sowie Prosa und Essays, oft mit Stellungnahmen zur intellektuellen Debatte der Queer Community. Auf Deutsch erschien zuletzt »Jackie O.« (1997).
