The first versfest berlin took place this year between the 20th and 22nd of March. The festival programme, aimed at a target audience of children, teenagers and young adults, can be viewed online at www.literaturfestival.com/kjl/versfestberlin/programm. Eleven remarkable poetry books were explored through 27 readings, workshops and specials at 14 different locations. Jan Wagner was the patron of the festival.

Nine filmed discussions with authors from the festival are now available online at www.literaturfestival.com/kjl/versfestberlin. In the videos, the poets Sarah Crossan (Ireland/United Kingdom), Uwe-Michael Gutzschhahn (Germany), Steven Herrick (Australia), Franz Hohler (Switzerland), Lan Lan (China), Synne Lea (Norway), Anushka Ravishankar (India), Edward van de Vendel (Netherlands) and Jacqueline Woodson (USA) discuss, among other things, what constitutes a good poem, what inspires their own work and what  poetry can do for young readers.
